The Center for International Programs was established to promote students' understanding of other cultures, to initiate academic cooperation with scholars of other countries, and to encourage students to communicate with citizens of those countries.
In May 2000, Jissen Women's University signed the Agreement on Cultural and Educational Cooperation with the University of Washington in the U.S.A., the University of Sussex in the U.K., and Renmin University in China. The agreements covered the organization and implementation of summer language training programs. Study completed in these programs is accepted for credit. Jissen Women's Junior College has entered into an agreement with the Anglo-Continental School of English in which language training courses are accepted for credit.
