Departments, Content of Teaching
In the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, we aim at giving an education that can respond to the needs of society and the demands for variegated, high-level education of our citizens that accompanies the advances in globalization and informatization, and the continuing maturization of society. The faculty consists of two departments: Humanities & Social Sciences and Studies on Contemporary Society. The content of teaching for each department is as follows.
Department of Humanities and Social Sciences
With person-to-person relationships as the axis, our theme is the various problems in contemporary society. This is divided into the fields of psychosociology, as studied from the viewpoint of psychology and sociology, contemporary business, which studies the competition between enterprises and the mechanisms of business society, and human communication, which handles the problems related to the dealings between people. Classes include many discussions, with the emphasis on polishing communication skills. With the active exchange of ideas between students and teachers, the students learn to think about the best career design for themselves.
Department of Studies on Contemporary Society
Our main feature is our curriculum, which enables multilateral study about today’s society and business. In the field of business communication, studying educational and sociological subjects to obtain knowledge about society as a whole, knowing about the organization of businesses, and studying subjects about business society to obtain practical knowledge, we study a wide range of subjects including intra-company personnel administration and leadership. We nurture in our students the ability to research problems that occur in contemporary society and solve them by making flexible use of their own feelings and thinking about matters subjectively.
