In the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, we aim at giving a faculty education that can respond to the needs of society and the demands for variegated, high level education of our citizens that accompanies the advances in globalization and informatization, and the continuing maturization of society. Our students proceed to build a community that studies together and requests nurturing of the ability to think and study independently, of their own volition. The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences consists of two departments: the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Department of Studies on Contemporary Society
