Learning about “German Christmas” While Enjoying Stollen (Dec. 23)
Dec 23,2025
On December 23, 2025, an event titled “German Christmas” was held. During the event, a professor with roots in Germany gave an engaging presentation in English, introducing the concept of Christmas in Germany, how it is celebrated, and how it differs from Christmas traditions in Japan. The presentation was supported by slides and videos, making the content easy to understand.
Approximately 40 students participated in the event and listened attentively while enjoying Stollen, a traditional German Christmas pastry. The students showed great interest and curiosity, expressing surprise at the different ways Christmas is celebrated in Germany and learning about customs that were new to them.
This event attracted a particularly high level of interest among the events held this year. We hope to continue organizing similar events in the future to further promote cross-cultural understanding.
