Exploring the Pacific Northwest
准教授 シュニッケル, ジェイコブ
Jissen Women’s University offers two summer language programs in North America. One is in the United States at the University of Washington (UW) in Seattle. The other is in Canada at the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) in Abbotsford. Both programs are in a region called the Pacific Northwest, which is known for its beautiful coastlines, green forests, and rich farmlands. Students who choose to study at UW will find themselves in an exciting urban environment. UW has a large, attractive campus, and students can walk to a variety of interesting shops and restaurants. Students at UFV will experience a more relaxed pace in a smaller city. The UFV campus is a comfortable, friendly place with green grass and a view of Mount Baker. Students in both programs will have the chance to use English to communicate in their daily lives, with instructors, fellow students, new friends, host family members, and shop clerks. And of course, students will have many adventures outside the classroom. Students at UW can visit Seattle’s Pike Place Market, local museums, and Mt. Hood. Those attending UFV can pick berries, go ice skating, and try rock climbing. Both summer language programs, UW and UFV, offer Jissen students the chance to develop English skills, to make memories, and to explore a beautiful part of the world.
